Weekend Comp schedule change – Update from Greenstaff – Winter rules update.
Happy Friday, folks!
This weekend, the course continues to improve. Although we’ve faced a few machinery issues, the greens are being cut, the fairways are done, and we’re steadily reducing the rough.
I am going to change this weekend from a yellow medal to a yellow stableford. Winter rules remain in place: pick and place on the fairway, and pick and drop in the rough—but only if the ball is plugged.
I also wanted to send out a gentle reminder from the green staff! They have put a lot of work into the bunkers, so please do the decent thing and rake them. If you see areas that need attention, consider raking them too—it’s your good deed for the day.
Please remember, the 8th and putting greens are not for chipping practice. Constant chipping causes significant damage, so please respect the course and refrain from this practice.
One last thing: pitch marks. If everyone repairs at least two, in theory, there should never be any.
Our actions affect the quality of the course. Let’s help out as much as possible.
Enjoy the sunshine—this might be our summer!
