Captain’s Charity Day Exceeds Expectations: Raising Over £1300 for Guide Dog

The Captain’s Charity Day was a resounding success, with the team of Andy Davill and Jason Austin taking home the victory., we didn’t just meet our fundraising target of £1000 – we exceeded it significantly. After covering expenses for prizes and the hotel BBQ, the final net donation to Guide Dogs came in at an impressive £1304.33! This fantastic achievement brings our overall total so far to approximately £1700 to £1800, edging us closer to our annual target of £2500. Thank you all for your generous contributions and support.

For those who had to leave early and haven’t collected their raffle prizes, Andy Boardman will be bringing them to the Nottinghamshire. Among the winners was Stewart Pragnell, who clinched the Abbey prize of an overnight stay with an evening meal and breakfast. Look forward to more pleasant surprises this Friday! Once again, a sincere thank you from all of us and, on behalf of Guide Dogs, for your remarkable support.
