Celebrating Our 2024 Champions: Phil Newton – Scratch Knockout Champion

Our celebration of the 2024 champions continues, and today we recognise Phil Newton, our 2024 Scratch Knockout Champion.

Phil’s journey to the title began in the quarterfinal, where he defeated Graham Catt 2&1. In the semifinal, he faced Shawn Carr and staged an impressive comeback after going 3 down on the front nine, dominating the back nine to win 4&3.

The final was decided on a playoff hole against Gareth Browning, where Phil secured the title in dramatic fashion, sinking a 40-foot putt to claim victory by 1.
