Spaces Still Available for This Weekend’s Claret Jug Competition – Rules and Details
Join us for the Claret Jug competition. This is your chance to compete for the Claret Jug trophy.
Rules:
1. Players must have a handicap.
2. No upper limit on handicap entry.
3. Play a normal medal round off the white tee and record your nett score.
4. Normal medal rules apply.
5. After playing your round, a random draw will be conducted to allocate each player a professional who played in the 3rd round of the Open. The allocated professional will be announced to you.
6. The players from the Open will be chosen based on their leaderboard positions in the 3rd round.
7. There will be more professionals than players, ensuring everyone gets a professional.
8. Scores from the players and the chosen Open professionals will be amalgamated.
9. The winner will be the player with the lowest combined score.
10. In case of a tie, the back 9 of the Abbey players will be considered, followed by the last 6, the last 3, and then individual holes until a winner is determined.
On the Day:
• Fee: £5
• Scorecard: Provided with your handicap and name.
After Your Round:
• Submit your score via the touchscreen in the Pro Shop or the How Did I Do app.
• Leave your signed scorecard with the Pro Shop staff.
