We Are Updating How Competitions Are Finalised and Results Are Published

Dear Members,
I hope you had a restful Christmas break and are looking forward to a positive new year.
Following the first committee meeting of 2025, we’ve decided to implement some minor changes to improve the speed at which we process competitions and communicate results. Building on our current foundation, these changes aim to streamline the process so competitions can be finalised more efficiently, and winners can be announced shortly after the competition ends. We believe this will allow us to better celebrate our members’ exceptional performances. These changes will be implemented starting this weekend.
Key Changes Starting This Weekend:
- Score Submission Deadlines:
- For weekend competitions: All scores must be submitted by midnight on Sunday.
- For single-day competitions: Scores must be submitted by midnight on the day the competition closes.
- Competition Processing Timeline:
- Competitions will be processed within one week of closure, ideally within 24 to 48 hours in most cases.
- Any missing scores will be recorded as NR (No Return) to ensure timely processing.
- Order of Merit Updates:
- The order of merit will be updated two weeks after a competition closes to allow members time to report missing scores.
- Once the order of merit is published, incorrect NRs cannot be changed.
What You Need to Do:
- When submitting your score, check the leaderboard on the touchscreen or the How Did I Do app to confirm your score has been recorded.
- If your score doesn’t appear:
- If your score doesn’t appear after results are published: If you believe you have made a good faith effort to report your scores on time (e.g., via the touchscreen or How Did I Do app), but your score is still missing, please notify us within the 2 week timeframe.
- You have two weeks to challenge any missing results by contacting a committee member or emailing us at [email protected].
